Bio

In a world full of opportunities for dissociation and AI slop, Oceaan Pendharkar's unique brand of quirky yet wholesome indie pop is here to get you feeling your feelings. If the songwriting of Ben Gibbard and sonic elements from Feist and Kimbra all came together at golden hour on a crisp fall afternoon, the result would be Oceaan's music. Having experienced deep loss at a young age, they use songwriting as a way to process emotions, which lately have been about love, connection, and the human condition. During their live show, you'll hear live looped harmonies, finely tuned guitar tones, and catchy hooks. They most often play as a duo with Thomas Hoeller on guitar and their trusty live arranger (for added electronic-esque instrumentation) and midi keyboard. You might recognize Oceaan from their previous project Glow Motive, or from their time playing keys for various celebrated artists from so-called Vancouver, BC. Their songs "Love" and "Real Love" are headed for your ear holes very soon!!

Martian EP

“Martian is rightly advertised as ‘celestial synths,’ depressive jingles that echo early Stars and Hot Chip. There are no complaints to lodge against this debut; it makes its point and sounds good doing it.”
— Scott Bryson, Broken Pencil Magazine
